Smita Krishnamurthy, M.D. is an assistant professor of pathology and dermatology in the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. She is a practicing dermatopathologist, and teaches pathology to first and second year medical students, and dermatopathology to dermatology residents at Wright State University. She has revised, created, and co-facilitated TBL modules for preclinical medical students since 2012 integrating pathophysiologic concepts with clinical medicine. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Health Professions Education at Wright State University, and is interested in educational research involving active learning strategies for enhancing student engagement, knowledge retention, and transfer.
