Schedule Information
The full Lightning Talk presentation schedule has been made available here. Additionally, each presentation has the date and time listed with their abstract. To view the abstracts for each category, please click them below.
- Teaching & Assessment
- Faculty/Student Wellness, Development, & Leadership
- Learning Resources & Strategies
- Curriculum Development & Integration
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility
Presentations are scheduled in one of the three slots:
- Wednesday, October 23, 12:00 - 1:00 PM EDT
- Thursday, October 24, 12:00 - 1:00 PM EDT
- Friday, October 25, 10:15 - 11:15 AM EDT
Each day will have 4-5 blocks. Each block will mostly contain presentations from the same category.
The week of October 14, our presenters will receive a Google Calendar invitation from IAMSE. This invitation will contain the schedule for your block, your session moderator, and the Zoom connection information. We recommend reading the abstracts for the other presentations in your block so you are familiar with the work prior to presentation. Each presenter from your block, your moderator, and IAMSE admin will also be listed on the calendar invitation. We ask that you do not share the calendar invitation with anyone.
We ask that on the day of your presentation that you please enter the room through the Zoom link in your calendar invitation. If you enter through the Event Hub, you may be placed in a waiting room.
Presentation Information
As you may know, a Lightning Talk is scheduled as a 7-minute presentation with 7-minutes for Q&A. Outside of these time constraints, we have no set format for the Lightning Talk presentations. We recommend that our presenters use PowerPoint or Google Slides.
If you would like for us to have a back-up of your presentation slides on file in case there is an issue with connection, please send your presentation slides to support@iamse.org. Be sure to name your presentation in this way: "LastName_DayPresenting_RoomNumber".
Note, if a presentation in your block has canceled, their presentation spot will remain open. This way, we keep to our schedule and attendees don't miss a session that has already been presented. If you are suddenly unable to present your abstract, please notify support@iamse.org as soon as you are able.
One issue that we have noticed in virtual presentations that we would like to address - please do not present while you are driving a vehicle. This is very dangerous, both for you and others on the road. If you must present from your vehicle, please be parked.
