No, you will not need to download anything to access Gatherly. When it comes to mobile options, the following information was source from Gatherly:

Gatherly supports the Google Chrome browser on mobile devices and tablets!

However, phones and tablets that were released more than 6 years ago may experience degraded performance due to the interactive nature of the platform. The battery consumption while using Gatherly may also be similar to the battery consumption while playing a mobile game on your phone or tablet.

For the best experience, we recommend joining via Google Chrome on a laptop, desktop, or recently released tablet.

We recommend that all attendees view the Guest Guide provided by Gatherly before entering the platform for the first time. We also recommend having the most up-to-date version of Google Chrome. If you are concerned that you may run into technical difficulties when using Google Chrome or if you are using a Mac or other iOS device, we also recommend having the most up-to-date version of Mozilla Firefox

To share you screen in Gatherly, you will click on the "share screen" button, similar to how you would in Zoom. You will be asked to select one of three options:

  1. Your Entire Screen. If you are sharing multiple applications during your presentation, you will want to select this option. Be aware, however, that your attendees will see everything that you have on your screen, so be sure you only have applications open that you intend to use.
  2. Application Window. If you are sharing a PowerPoint, or another application that is not your web browser, you will want to select this option.
  3. Chrome Tab. If you are sharing Google Slides or any other online application that you access through your web browser, you will want to select this option.

Please note that you sharing options may be limited if you are not using Google Chrome as your browser.

Gatherly currently has two primary accessibility features. They have a high-contrast mode, which can be accessed in the profile settings, and closed captions, which is one of the options at the bottom of your screen.
